Serigraphy:
Serigraphy is Greek for  silk (screen) printing. The screen us uncovered  for the printing areas.. A stencil is used to block the non-printing areas. The stencil used in these works is  photosensitive, but only to ultra violet rays. After the emulsion is exposed to a UV unit,  it is adhered to the screen. Ink is then pushed through the screen onto paper or other substrate with a squeegee.

Collagraphy: An uninked  plate is run through an etching press under 2,000 pounds of pressure. This  embosses the paper  to complement  and  enhance the serigraphic image.

Computer generated: Mildred uses the following software in creating her computer generated works: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Fractal Painter.
